A Unique Arts Project - LO-FI Collective

Posted on Thursday, April 28, 2011

For the second half of 2010 and early 2011, Roland DG sponsored a unique arts project gallery space named LO-FI Collective. Showcasing the best of Australia’s burgeoning creative community, artists were invited to work onsite to conceptualise, create and then exhibit their work for public viewing on a weekly basis and as part of the agreement Roland produced fine art giclee prints for the shows.

Marty Routledge, gallery curator at LO-FI, was excited with the results from the Roland printers:

"Show went reeeaalllyy well. Prints were the talk of the town"

One highlights of the Collective was a special demo session where artists were invited to submit their creative artworks to Roland for testing and experimenting for different special effects and finishes. This was a great success with some amazing pieces being submitted and some ground-breaking special effects demonstrated. This demo session culminated in an 'Imagine. Roland' show at LO-FI gallery in early 2011. Big thanks to all the artists who contributed!
